Pastors Bryce and Colette are South Dakota natives growing up in the Black Hills. They got married in the spring of 1995 and started their family four years later. They have three children: Ethan, Callie, and Nate who always keep the house lively. Ethan is off to ORU and Callie and Nate are both in high school at Timber Lake. Pastor Bryce and Colette both attended Rhema Bible Training College in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2004 and graduated in May of 2006. Upon graduating, the Schaffer’s pastored Fellowship of Living Faith in Lindsay, Ok. They ministered there for five years before accepting the pastorship at New Hope Church. One of the Schaffer’s favorite things to do together is Friday night homemade pizza and movie night. It has become a weekly tradition that the whole family looks forward to.
Pastor Bryce worked as a special education teacher for eleven years and also enjoyed coaching a high school girls basketball team. He now works part-time as a Special Education teacher and is the assistant Boys Basketball coach in Timber Lake. Besides being a wife and mother, Pastor Colette has worked as a private music teacher since 1995 and also works as a public school music teacher in Timber Lake.
